Olympic-Rings

Welcome to the site of Jeremiah Brown
Olympic Silver Medalist 2012

Thanks for visiting my site.  The road to an Olympic medal has been quite a journey.  Through it all there have been some simple truths that have changed how I approach goals for the better.  I’ve had an opportunity to speak to a lot of people about my experience and I hope this site will serve as a place you can get more information about me whether you’re an aspiring rower, or a meeting planner looking for a speaker for your next function, or anything in between.  My blueprint for success is grounded in some simple ideas that are hard to put into practice initially, but become easy with time and the forming of habit.

I began my Olympic journey with my own ideas of how it would go and was routinely proven wrong over the next few years.  I underestimated the importance the team has in bringing out the best in the individual.  I learned to accept the limitations of my experience so that I could learn from the experience of others who had done what I was trying to do.  I began to understand motivation as separate from emotion and rooted in resolve and action.  I will write more about these ideas under the Olympic Experiment blog category below.  Thanks for visiting and feel free to get in touch via the contact page or leave a comment.

 The Olympic Experiment

I began rowing in 2009. I won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics with my teammates three and a half years later. Here’s where I discuss that journey. I will write about my take on motivation, goal-setting, adaptation, leadership, teamwork and more.  Many of these ideas are based on my well-received keynote presentation.
